Our Sports First Aid course focuses on the unique sport related decisions the first aider has to make, from stopping play, return to play decisions and the types injuries faced in various sports activities.
Pitch side and watersports issues can be addressed, along with strategies for disability sports, adventure sports, group events and remote sports.
The Sports First Aid certificate meets the various sports governing bodies, sports massage, osteopathy and physiotherapy associations' requirements.

Earns CPD points where courses need to have an element of assessment, are issued with a certificate and have a feedback form at the end of the course.
The 2 day course is a Level 2 award for practitioners working at the competition/training site.

unit 1: emergency action
In addtion to the life-saving first aid requirements which meet an appointed persons certificate, unit 1 addresses the influence of sports activity upon casualty care.
unit 2: incident management
Managing the statistically common injuries and illnesses in a range of sporting contexts, unit 2 examines issues not commonly covered on most first aid courses such as return to play decisions. It also includes managing suspected spinal injuries, head injuries and sports injuries in more detail.
